We’re Hiring – Participation Officer
Buncrana GAA Club is seeking a motivated and energetic full-time Participation Officer (39 hours per week) to help grow and support Gaelic Games activity across our community. This important full-time role focuses on delivering fun, inclusive Gaelic Football programmes for our parish school children, increasing club playing numbers, supporting our hurling coaches, developing strong school partnerships, and promoting all our Gaelic Games.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver participation and games development programmes within local primary schools and the club.
- Support Fundamentals, Go Games, Camps, Super Games and inclusion initiatives.
- Strengthen Club–School links and organise school Gaelic Football coaching and blitzes.
- Support our Club Hurling Coaches.
- Promote participation and retention across all age groups.
What We Are Looking For
Experience working or volunteering within the GAA.
- A relevant Level 7 NFQ qualification (Sports, Education, Youth Work or related field).
- Gaelic Football Coaching qualification (minimum Foundation/Intro to Coaching).
- Strong communication and organisational skills.
- Ability to work evenings/weekends as needed.
- A passion for community sport and developing young players.
